An elderly woman called up an
auction house to sell her microwave. She sounded as if she were in shock and the
auctioneer asked why she wanted to sell it.
“Well, my dog came in from the rain and he was soaking wet and shivering. So I
figured the quickest way to dry him off would be to put him in the microwave. So
I did, and pressed the “defrost” button,” she said.
The auctioneer, disbelieving, asked, “And then what happened?”
“Well, as soon as I pressed the button, his hair stood up on end, and then
about 10 seconds later, he exploded,” she explained tearfully.
The auctioneer later cleaned up the remains and sold the microwave for $30.
