A student at an East Coast
university entered the room for a final exam. He asked the proctor for two
blue books, and when the test ended, and the blue books were collected. He
handed in only one. In it, he had written a note on the first page and left
the rest of the book blank. The note said, “Dear Mom, Just finished my Psych
101 final and wanted to tell you that I love you.”
The student took the second blue book home, which was blank. There, with
the help of his textbooks and class notes, he finished the exam, and promptly
mailed it to his mother. When his professor called him about the mix-up, the
student acted surprised and upset about the events. He then got the other blue
book back from his mother, turned it in to the professor, and received an A on
the exam.
