A young man went to a NYC club
and met an attractive girl there. They flirted, and the next thing he knew, they
were heading back to his place and having sex. He couldn’t believe it. But the
next morning, he woke up alone, and went to the bathroom. And there, written on
the mirror in lipstick, the girl had left a note saying, “WELCOME TO THE WORLD
OF AIDS.”
(There are other variations: A young woman went to the movies with a few
of her friends. During the movie, she felt a slight prick at her neck, and
reached over to rub it, but didn’t think much of it. After the movie ended and
the lights came up, she and her friends got up to leave. She looked down at her
hand and noticed blood, just as one of her friends told her there was something
stuck to her back. There was a note pinned to her coat saying, “I just pricked
you with a needle containing my own contaminated blood. WELCOME TO WORLD OF
AIDS.”)
