At the reception of a large,
lavish wedding, the best man stood up to make his toast, but the groom jumped
up and interrupted him to say something first.
“I’d like to thank you all for coming,” he said, “and for all the
lovely gifts, but I just wanted to let you know that I’m going to take my
honeymoon in Hawaii, and my bride is going to Aruba. And when we return from
our trips, our marriage will be annulled. I realize that this may be a bit
confusing, but if you’ll take a look under your plates, I’m sure that’ll
clear it right up.”
And upon looking under their plates, the guests were treated to a
photograph of the new bride with the best man in a “compromising
position.” After waiting for them to see the photo, and listening to their
shocked, gasping reactions, he turned to his best man and said, “F***
you.” He then turned to the bride, said the same thing, and left.
