In a certain hospital, there was a
particular hospital bed in a room that was considered to be haunted. The past
three patients who had been placed in that room had died within a few days.
The room had been checked for possible bacterial infection and even the air
conditioner vents had been checked, but there was no concrete reason as to how
the patients had died, and now, none of the nurses wanted to go near the room.
The new Chief of Staff hated to waste the space so he insisted a patient be
placed in it. He then had extra staff to watch over the patient to make sure
nothing strange was happening.
Everything was perfectly normal, until the cleaning woman entered the room
the following Friday morning and proceeded to do her job. Just as she was
about to unplug the socket to plug in her floor polisher, the Chief of Staff
stopped her and questioned her. It turned out that every Friday morning, this
woman had been coming into the room to clean, and unknowingly unplugging the
patient’s life support machine to plug in her floor polisher. After
finishing, she would then plug the life support cord back in, not realizing
the patient was already dead.
