“Crazy In Love”
Ok, I promise to try as hard as I can to not recount every line in every scene… but this show is so darn funny that I just can't help it. While every storyline may not be the most intelligent or funny, it's the random one-liners that crack me up. At least Will finally got a boyfriend, so let's see what happens with that one.
In the first scene, Will discovers that Grace slept in her dress after spending the night with a really annoying guy from a party they went to the night before. He also mentions that she lies a lot. “I do not,” says Grace, and then proceeds to ask Will to sign a letter from her “doctor” so she could get out of jury duty. The note says she has Borderline Personality Disorder. Insert Girl, Interrupted joke here. Will admits that he lies too, saying, “I once told someone I couldn't sleep with them because Jupiter was in my rising house.” “I know, that was me,” replies Grace.
Jack walks in with his usual loud Jack-like way, and tells Will that he better start getting some action… or in Jack's words, “Its time to put the sex back in homosexual, Will.” This triggers Will's I'm-never-going-to-find-a-boyfriend switch, and Grace tells him to call “the one whose card you've been dating.” The guy she's referring to is Matt (Patrick Dempsey), the guy he met at Banana Republic, whose card he's been carrying in his pocket for weeks.
Later in the day, Karen and Jack walk into Grace's office with a favor to ask. Not withholding the usual banter that goes on between Karen and Jack, the conversation went something like this:
Jack: We need a good designer (referring to a designer for his apartment)
Karen: Do you know any?
(Grace looks incredulous)
Jack: Why isn't she speaking?
Karen: Because she's hypnotized by her own dress!
I'm going to have to agree with Karen about Grace's dress. What has she been wearing lately anyway? Those clothes just invite Karen to make fun of her.
Jack continues to be the most annoying client, and… hey, I just noticed that Jack has a huge picture of himself hanging above his mantle. How typical! Anyway, Grace wears a really weird oriental number (at least I think that's what she was going for), and Jack wants ridiculous things like Abercrombie models in his living room and a skylight in his 9th story (out of 12) apartment.
When Grace leaves, Jack and Karen find her planner, and decide to change everything around in it just to mess her up. They find the fake letter from Grace's “therapist,” and think that Grace is crazy. Making up some story about how most assaults are committed by people you know, they now think that Grace is going to kill them or something. She later finds out that they think this and uses it to decorate Jack's apartment the way she wants to.
Meanwhile, Will finally meets Matt (who is a sports reporter) at a bar, and ends up telling him that he's a huge sports fan and plays baseball regularly. When he tells Grace what he told Matt, she makes him go to a batting cage so she can teach him how to hit a baseball. The next night, they go out again, but much to Will's dismay, Matt suggests basketball instead. Due to Will's complete cluelessness on the court, Matt figures out that Will was just lying to impress him, and they agree to tell the truth from then on.
Then the last commercial came on, and the announcer said, “Will and Grace will be back.” But he lied, too. The scene that usually rolls over the credits was a preview for Ed. Like I care. By the way, have you ever noticed how Will and Grace has that way of ending the last scene without really ending it, making you watch the commercials to see if there will be more? Talk amongst yourselves. I'll give you a topic. Oh wait, I just did.
